Human behavior is an intriguing topic for psychology and sociology fanatics. Whether studied casually or as an academic discipline, cultivating knowledge about human relationships can greatly improve how one engages with others and pursues their desires. For Manuel Santana, a seasoned relationship coach, author of Power Play: Balancing Relationship Dynamics, and the host of the Prove Your Point podcast, exploring the nuances of relationships is a passion.
As a naturally inquisitive person, he spent much of his youth observing others and taking notes. What fascinated him the most was the unspoken dynamics affecting human relationships. Even when someone found themselves in an unhealthy, unfulfilling partnership, they rarely understood how the situation developed. They couldn’t understand why they continued to invest in someone who was less interested in their well-being than other suitors. Others felt frustrated by their limited capacity to open up emotionally, which kept them in sexually gratifying connections lacking the depth they were actually searching for.
Regardless of the situation, Manuel became something like a matchmaker in his circle of friends and family, listening to everyone’s love life woes and offering his advice. The coaching market is extremely saturated, especially for relationships and personal development. This made things difficult for Manuel, but unlike others in this space, he let his personal experiences shape his unique approach. He often quips that education is mostly built on observations and learning experiences, whether they occur in a classroom or not.
Since overcoming this limiting belief, Manuel has launched one-on-one relationship coaching services and his ebook, Power Play: Balancing Relationship Dynamics. For singles, attached, and those who fall anywhere in between, the content is a breath of fresh air. Even on his Prove Your Point podcast, Manuel presents both sexes’ perspectives. He calls this common sense approach ‘white pill,’ as a way to openly reject the growing wave of ‘red pill’ content that encourages misogyny and male supremacy. This is a big issue that Manuel is trying to address, but he advocates for women to reassess their beliefs as well.
“I always felt pulled back to relationship coaching because of how one-sided narratives dominated the conversation,” Manuel says. “This has widened the disconnect between men and women. Each side wants to find the partner of their dreams, but neither is willing to take accountability for unhealthy behaviors and beliefs they have, so they remain in a cycle of imbalance and blame.”
Through his coaching services, Manuel empowers clients to embrace the need for personal growth. His insights help them recognize what areas they need to improve, such as emotional maturity and self-awareness, and what strengths they should be capitalizing on. This dynamic advisor doesn’t mean a client will find their life partner overnight, but these building blocks of change will significantly improve their readiness for authentic love and connection.
Manuel is excited to work with more clients, guiding them to master the art of connection through workshops and one-on-one sessions. As an educator and activist, he aims to help men and women free themselves from the dissatisfaction of mind games, cultivating relationships built on a foundation of mutual respect, love, and equality.
