In the year since David Bowie passed away, it seems our collective enthusiasm for memorializing the legendary rock star has not waned. Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale celebrated the first anniversary of his death with the David Bowie Annual Tribute Skate Night, a costume-friendly chance to lace up some roller skates and skate in circles to a four-hour marathon of Bowie songs, compliments of DJ Travis Balkin. A line of Bowie fanatics in ’70s gear and Aladdin Sane–era makeup stretched through the parking lot, while inside they glided and bounced to the music of one of rock music's greatest heroes.
