Haunted Houses are the original pop-ups, and though they’re driven more by scares than poses and stares into a cell phone, Halloween is bringing the best of both worlds together this month in L.A. Freeform kicks it off with its 31 Nights of Halloween House, an interactive experience in the heart of Hollywood (the former Hollywood Athletic Club) featuring backdrops from Hocus Pocus, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Scream and The Addams Family. Guests receive a wristband linked to their email address when they sign up and scan it before each photo shoot, then images are sent to their inbox immediately enhanced with spooky promo graphics (see final photo).
It’s all to promote the network’s holiday programming which includes these seasonal classics and more. Full schedule here. Here, photos from the preview party this week featuring young TV, film and social media stars. Open to the public now through Mon., Oct. 7. Tickets at freeform.go.com/31-nights-of-halloween/
