Grupo Frontera brought their Triste Pero Bien C*brón Tour to a packed crowd at Intuit Dome on Friday night, delivering more than two hours of norteño-cumbia hits and drawing some of the loudest reactions of the evening for two big-name guests.
The McAllen, Texas group moved through a set that mixed career-defining tracks with newer material, as fans sang along to favorites including “La del Proceso,” “No Se Va,” “Que Vuelvas,” “un x100to,” “Me Jalo,” and “El Amor de Su Vida,” plus tracks from Con Dolor, their latest EP. Arrangements shifted throughout the night — reggae and acoustic intros, a medley, and a megaphone moment — keeping the energy high across the arena.
Sinaloa singer-songwriter Armenta joined the band for “Aurora,” and Xavi stepped out for “No Capea” and his own “La Diabla” — both appearances got the crowd amped. The performance continues a busy U.S. leg that follows sold-out dates across Latin America and Europe.
The tour rolls on next through additional North American markets before heading to South America.
