Following a landmark summer that brought the world to Los Angeles, Summer Dine LA Restaurant Week is back and will take place from Friday, Aug. 14 through Friday, Aug. 28.
As dining out keeps getting more expensive and restaurants scramble to survive, the specially priced prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus at restaurants across the county couldn’t come at a better time. The program offers an accessible way to discover new neighborhoods, revisit favorite dining destinations, and support restaurants and hospitality professionals in this great food city.
There will be more than 500 restaurants participating across 89 neighborhoods, representing 33 global cuisines. Lunch and dinner menus range from $15 to $65+.
New additions to the lineup include Dominique Crenn’s Monsieur Dior, Omaniku, Hipico, Dune Atwater Village, and Perse Restaurant, alongside neighborhood favorites and emerging concepts across the county.
SUSHISAMBA will have a $55 four-course menu served family-style, starting with Pão De Queijo, Brazilian cheese bread served with honey truffle butter, and green bean tempura with black truffle aioli. The second course features Japanese A5 Kobe gyoza, seviche classico, and crispy yellowtail taquitos. Entrees include sea bass Anticuchos, a Peruvian twist on miso-marinated black cod; pollo a la Brasa served with aji amarillo aioli; and the Asivechado roll, which combines the flavors of Peruvian ceviche into a Japanese maki roll. Dessert is a chocolate banana cake alongside vanilla rum ice cream.
The landmark Los Angeles Creole restaurant Harold & Belle’s, which has been serving the community since 1969, is offering a $35 three-course lunch and $45 three-course dinner, featuring charbroiled oysters, a home-style catfish combination with catfish, jambalaya and red beans, and beignets for dessert.
The West Adams staple has also added bottomless mimosas to its new brunch menu, live music during select brunches, and a new outdoor entertainment space featuring live performances
