Jessica Roberts became a member of the Lynwood City Council after a unanimous decision to appoint her — but it didn’t last long. After the appointment, someone noticed Roberts online activity and brought it to the attention of the city council and the public at large.

It seems that Roberts not only had an active OnlyFans account with a bio that read: “A bisexual transwoman with itty bitty t*tties and a big girl c*ck. C*m have a fun time with meeee,” but also had a plethora of sexually explicit content on multiple platforms, including Instagram and Reddit. A Reddit account that appears to be Roberts wrote: “I love the idea of grabbing a pretty girl and using her as a breeding pet. And once I’ve gotten her pregnant, sharing her with my fellow trans fems.”

While Roberts seemed to have taken down the accounts after it was brought to light, it didn’t stop people from questioning whether or not she should be allowed to keep her appointment. One member of the city council, David Parshal, shared this in a statement: “Her newly discovered social media comments, particularly those pertaining to the treatment of women display a character that is not in alignment with the expectations that I have for a fellow council member.”

Another council member, Derica Escamilla, representing Position 1, said “We were definitely unaware. I certainly had no idea of the views Jessica held and do not feel those views and activities are in keeping with the gravity and seriousness of serving the people of Lynnwood on the City Council.”

As the news of Jessica Roberts’ OnlyFans, Reddit, and  TikTok activity began to spread, the City Council began receiving even more backlash for their decision to appoint Roberts.

Council President Nick Coelho said the following about the appointment process: “The process has gotten a little wacky, and that’s just what happens in these processes. It’s a little ugly, it’s not perfect… but it’s moving as it’s supposed to.”

He continued: “I want people to know that as part of a fair process, we don’t go through social media and troll through what any applicants have to say.”

While Roberts’s behavior isn’t illegal, Coelho admitted that the information might have affected councilmembers’ votes if they’d been aware of it beforehand.

At first it seemed that Roberts planned to fight to stay in the office. Leading up to an emergency meeting called by The Lynnwood City Council to determine her fate, Roberts issued a statement: “While I appreciate, and understand the concern, regarding the revelations around my personal life, this would not impact my ability to do the job I was appointed to do or my ability to serve my fellow residents.”

However, it did not take long for her to change her mind and formally withdraw from the position, stating: “My personal life and identity do not in any way affect my ability to do the job. However, I have decided to withdraw my appointment, not because I am unwilling to serve the people in my community, but because the continued scrutiny of my personal life is a potential distraction from the council’s forward progress.”
