The Men’s Health supplement industry never ceases to amaze us. It has to be one of the most unscrupulous industries out there.

Case in point is Testosterone Boosters. We are sure that you might have heard about natural supplements that claim to boost your testosterone. They are promoted aggressively all over the internet. But that’s not the unscrupulous bit.

The unscrupulousness of the industry lies in the fact that most natural testosterone boosters are junk. They contain redundant herbs, a bunch of vitamins and some basic minerals such as zinc. These are thrown into a pill, often in poor concentrations. Then these products are sold at obscene prices to gullible customers who are often desperate for a cure.

Sometimes, we feel that most brands spend more money in branding and marketing than actual product R & D. One of these supplements that we have been increasingly noticing these days is Nugenix. (Visit official website)

Nugenix offers a range of products in the men’s health space. These include Test Boosters, Fat Burners, Estrogen regulators and GH boosters. It’s often cracked up to be the go-to brand for athletes, bodybuilders as well as anyone looking for natural performance enhancement.

But a closer look at some of their bestselling supplements confirms what we mentioned at the onset. If you are curious, then here are our Nugenix reviews.

What is Nugenix?

Nugenix is one of the top rated supplement brands in the Men’s health space that offers a wide range of men’s health supplements. For obvious reasons, we cannot list all of them here, nor review each one. But since this article is primarily about Men’s health products, we’ll take a quick look at some of the top Nugenix products in this category and review one or two of them.

  • Nugenix Total T – Advertised as a complete Testosterone booster that addresses all symptoms associated with low T.
  • Nugenix Free T Booster – Aimed primarily at athletes and bodybuilders looking for a natural alternative to performance enhancement drugs.
  • Nugenix GH Boost – Claims to increase natural GH pulses by 100% in just 90 minutes. Smart claim. But there’s more to it than what meets the eye.

A review of Nugenix’s GH booster warrants a separate article. So this article will primarily be about their testosterone boosters. To be honest, there’s little difference in all their test boosters if you are to scrutinize the product labels closely. So, even if we analyze one of these, it’s as good as analyzing all three.

That’s because the ingredient labels are identical clones of one another. It’s almost comical.

What are the ingredients in Nugenix?

For a brand that claims to offer specialized products for each symptom related to low testosterone, or specific health and fitness goals, Nugenix’s products look pretty ordinary. Here’s why.

  1. Vitamins B6 & B12 – No complaints about the B-Vitamin blend. These are standard additions to most men’s health products and will definitely produce a wide range of positive effects. You will have better blood flow, increased mental clarity and even a mild increase in testosterone levels.
  2. Zinc – Once again, a pretty standard addition to test boosters. However, the RDA for Zinc in men is 11 milligrams. Bodybuilders or even aging men with testosterone decline will use at least 25 milligrams. That’s the bare minimum. Most people will use at least 50 mg. Nugenix Total T contains a measly 1 mg of Zinc. So does the Free T booster.
  3. Boron – No surprises here. Boron is a very beneficial trace mineral that has been proven to increase T. But once again, it’s the concentration that’s appalling. It’s just 10 mg. Most bodybuilding and Testosterone boosting formulas have at least 30 mg if not more.
  4. Herbs – Tongkat Ali & Fenugreek Extract. Both are very beneficial for T boosting as well as for libido enhancement. However, just like the rest of the ingredients mentioned here, these are also in very low concentrations. There’s just 600 mg of Fenugreek & about 100 mg of Tongkat.

In a nutshell, this is a classic example of table dressing. It has a variety of ingredients pasted on that label. But none of the ingredients are in concentrations for them to have the intended result. Other than these ingredients, it contains L-Citruline, which is a blood flow enhancing amino acid, typically used in pre workout supplements.

The other ingredient is elevATP® Blend, which is an energy booster. Both these ingredients offer zero benefits towards endogenous testosterone stimulation. Are they great additions for a workout supplement? Sure. But here, they claim that this is akin to the holy grail of test boosting. That’s misleading.

Nugenix Customer Reviews

If you search for Nugenix Total T Reviews, you are likely to find web pages run by marketers who want to push this ahead, instead of legitimate testosterone boosters.

So, if we were you, we’d take those with a large grain of salt. For any supplement brand to claim that they have a product that can increase Free T, it should at least contain DAA, which is one of the only proven ingredients that can increase Free T.

Instead, it has a proprietary blend that contains L Citrulline, Fenugreek & TT. What’s worse is that they do not reveal the exact concentration of each ingredient in that blend. So, you’d have to take that at face value.

To read some real reviews of Nugenix’s products, we recommend that you hop on Reddit. It’s flooded with negative comments that even call it a rip off.

Pricing

Both the Free T Booster and the Total T booster are priced at $69.99. That’s not overly expensive to be honest. But at that price, we’d expect a much superior product with more proven ingredients. Even if it were these ingredients, we’d expect much stronger concentrations.

According to us, Nugenix is grossly overpriced for what it offers.

Nugenix Alternative Testosterone Boosters

Having spent close to two decades in the health and fitness industry, we have seen a fair share of poorly designed products being peddled in fancy bottles.

If you are looking for the best testosterone boosters, then we have three terrific options for you that you can consider over Nugenix.

Strap in and enjoy the read.

#1- Testogen Vs. Nugenix

Screen Shot 2021 07 04 at 9.11.22 AM

The first product that we recommend as an alternative to Nugenix is Testogen. There are two reasons why we believe that Testogen is a great alternative. Firstly, the ingredient list is way better than the limited, table-dressed one that Nugenix offers. Secondly, Testogen activates one of the two biological pathways through which endogenous testosterone is stimulated in the body.

For those who are new to this, these two are the only ways by which your body can ever release more testosterone than it does currently.

In other words, it’s not an energy booster or a pump enhancer. It’s a legitimate hormonal stimulant that will trigger the release of your own, natural testosterone. Also, Testogen is a single alternative to both of Nugenix’s bestsellers. That’s the Total T booster and the Free T booster.

Testogen Ingredients vs. Nugenix

The ingredient list on the Testogen label is one of the best blends that we have seen in a long time. It contains amino acids, herbs, minerals & Vitamins. At the same time, it’s not just some overpriced multivitamin blend. It is a carefully-selected blend of ingredients backed by clinical research.

  • D-Aspartic Acid: We mentioned DAA while speaking about Nugenix and increasing Free T. DAA is one of the only amino acids that can increase testosterone by up to 60%. Unlike the paltry 100-500 mg of ingredients in Nugenix, Testogen contains a whopping 2.5 grams of DAA. This will skyrocket your Serum Test levels and subsequently, your free T levels as well.
  • Magnesium: Magnesium is part of the famed ZMA used by bodybuilders since ages to increase testosterone. While Testogen also contains the other ingredient, Zinc, it gives you 250 mg of Magnesium. That’s a sizeable dose.
  • Vitamin D3: The sunshine vitamin is also one of the most important ones for stable testosterone levels. But almost 80% of the population is deficient in Vitamin D. Could this explain why testosterone levels are depleting in men a lot sooner? Well, even if you cannot get out into the sun, you can surely amp your D levels with Testogen.
  • The Vit-Min Blend – Probably, the most important blend of Vitamins and Minerals in Tetsogen is Vitamin K1, Zinc & Boron. If you’d have noticed, Zinc and Boron also make an appearance in Nugenix, but in tiny concentrations. In Testogen, you get both these vital ingredients in high concentrations, along with Vitamin K1.
  • Nettle Leaf Extract 4:1: Stinging Nettle is an amazing addition to Testogen. That’s not as a normal test booster mind you. It binds to sex hormone binding globulin which in turn ties down your levels of free test. By reducing SHBG, Nettle Leaf helps boost free, muscle building testosterone.
  • Korean Red Ginseng Extract: Panax Ginseng is one of our favorite ingredients. Along with a bevy of positive effects, it also improves your erection quality by leaps and bounds. Get ready for rock hard erections.

Testogen Customer Reviews

Testogen is one of the oldest testosterone boosters in the market. For a product that has been around for years, its customer review rating is almost 98%. That’s just insane. A lot of the reviews are from men aged 35-55. In case you are wondering why that matters, it’s because that is one of the most difficult age groups to stimulate testosterone.

These reviews speak about the marked improvement in their body composition, libido and overall confidence after using Testogen. There are reviews from professional natural bodybuilders, as well as athletes, such as pro wrestlers and footballers too.

Pricing

Testogen is priced at just $59.99 for a monthly supply. That’s $10 lesser than Nugenix. Also, if you wish to run this for months, you can get much better value deals with great savings.

Testogen vs. Nugenix Verdict

We personally feel that Testogen brings a lot more to the table than Nugenix. It has better ingredients, at much stronger doses too. Why, even the pricing is better. We think that it’s pretty self-explanatory, isn’t it?

#2- Prime Male Vs. Nugenix

Screen Shot 2021 07 04 at 9.11.36 AM

The second product that we recommend is Prime Male, which like Nugenix is available in two specialized versions. One is the more conventional version called Prime Male Vitality Complex. This is better suited for younger men, who’d want slightly more emphasis on Free Testosterone (Muscle Building).

The second version is called Prime Male Enhanced. However, like Nugenix’s product range, the product labels are not mirror replicas of each other. This is legitimately 3x as powerful as the Vitality Complex formula. We’ll explain why.

Prime Male Ingredients vs. Nugenix

Prime Male has 12 ingredients that blow Nugenix’s ingredient list straight out of the water. The manufacturers call it the Dirty Dozen of Testosterone. Apart from some smart branding, the 12-ingredients are hands down, THE most powerful natural ingredients for testosterone boosting.

  • DAACC– Meet DAACC, a chemically tweaked version of DAA that gets absorbed faster in your system. If you thought that the 60% boost in your testosterone levels was good enough, now you get it a lot sooner.
  • Bioperine – This is probably the only ingredient that Prime Male could do without. Not because it is not effective. It is a very powerful bioavailability enhancer. But the formula works great even without Bioperine.
  • Boron – Boron offers a plethora of benefits for the male with waning testosterone levels. The most notable one though is that it keeps SHBG levels in check. That translates into more ‘free test’ in your system.
  • B-Vitamins – Our favorite vitamins, Vitamin B-6 & B-12 make an appearance here too. In case you are wondering why we are so infatuated with it, the combo will increase testosterone & also increase your mental clarity and energy.
  • Zinc – While Prime Male does not contain a lot of Zinc, there’s sufficient concentrations to provide a bump in your free testosterone. Also, this works great in synergy with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Saw palmetto – Most brands look at Saw Palmetto as free testosterone booster. But that kind of overlooks its effectiveness in reducing DHT. That’s a very useful function, especially when your free testosterone levels start to spike.
  • L-Arginine – The most powerful vasodilator that will kick in as you start to lift weight and lose body fat due to the increased free test. Even users who have never stepped into a gym mention that they have pumped biceps 24/7 with Prime Male.
  • Maca Root – Maca root is a powerful aphrodisiac that’s been used since ages for sexual health. But in recent times, it has gained reputation as powerful muscle builder. Anything associated with muscle is potentially a free testosterone booster.

Prime Male Customer Reviews

Both, Vitality complex and Prime Male Enhanced have excellent customer reviews.

What separates these from Nugenix is that both these formulas are unique. For instance, the vitality complex has more DAA for free testosterone, while the Enhanced version has higher concentrations of Zinc, Magnesium & Boron for more serum test. Also, the Enhanced version comes with more Maca root and B-Vitamins for that slight bump in libido.

There’s a clear differentiating factor which allows the customer to select the one that best works for them.

Another thing that we like is that the reviews have remained consistently good over the years.

Pricing

Both, the conventional Prime Male and the Enhanced version are priced at $65.00 each. It’s a little more expensive than Testogen. But is still priced below Nugenix.

You can buy 2-month supplies of the stack at $199.00 only. That’s 4-bottles.

Prime Male vs. Nugenix – Final Verdict

With 12-powerful ingredients and two specialized formulas, Prime Male is a much better option than Nugenix. You can choose between a powerful muscle builder or a potent libido booster. Also, it’s slightly cheaper.

Testofuel vs. Nugenix

Screen Shot 2021 07 04 at 9.11.48 AM

The final testosterone booster that we feel provides much better results than any of Nugenix’s range is Testofuel. This is a unique, fast-acting T Booster that’s preferred by men who are looking for quicker results. For instance, if you want to look beefed up for an upcoming holiday, or if you want to compete in a sporting event, Testofuel will get the job done.

In plain and simple terms, this is anabolic support. But it does not cut corners with sexual health either. Be rest assured, you are going to feel this in just a week or two. In comparison, Nugenix seems like a redundant, outdated formula.

Testofuel Ingredients vs. Nugenix

Testofuel is manufactured by one of the most reputed brands in the business, Wolfson Berg. Their product catalog features some of the bestselling health supplements of all times. That’s primarily because they have a very reputed R&D team, clubbed with one of the most advanced manufacturing centers in the world. GMP certified!

When you look at the product label, you’ll find some of the best science-backed ingredients in the men’s health space for endogenous hormone boosting.

  • DAA – By now, you’d be pretty familiar with DAA and its apparent benefits. But here’s one benefit that’s rarely spoken about. DAA can also increase your ejaculate volume. Aging men often mention that their ejaculate volume has reduced. You can count on Testofuel to release massive loads again.
  • Vitamins – There’s Vitamins D, B6, & K2. Vit D as we mentioned earlier, is linked to increased testosterone. But it becomes even more effective when blended with K2 & Vit B6.
  • Oyster Extract – At first, we thought that Oyster extracts were a gimmicky addition to TestoFuel. But after we spent some time researching, we discovered that it’s proven to increase muscular skeletal strength. To top it off, it also reduces brain fog and increases mental clarity.
  • Ginseng – Korean Ginseng is a little too potent for some people to handle. To that end, Testofuel comes with standard Ginseng. Don’t think that it’s any less potent than its Korean counterpart though. Expect a surge in your Test & DHT levels.
  • ZMA – Last but not the least, Testofuel also contains ZMA. A proven combination of Zinc and Magnesium that will spike your serum testosterone levels in just weeks.

Testofuel Customer Reviews

Testofuel is one of the most well-received natural performance enhancers in the market currently. In case you didn’t notice, we called it a performance enhancer. That’s because it is routinely used by fitness models and Instagram influencers to get shredded and build more muscle in short time periods.

If you log on to Reddit or other messaging boards, you’ll be able to find detailed bloodwork logs that show how effective this is in boosting Free T levels. Also, the addition of Ginseng makes it one of the best libido boosters, with a noticeable increase in blood flow to the penis.

Pricing

Testofuel is priced at $65 for a one-month supply. That’s cheaper than Nugenix, for a formula that kicks in sooner and can help you transform your body in just weeks.

Testofuel vs. Nugenix Verdict

Testofuel all the way. In fact, we can bet that it’s better than any formula that you pick from Nugenix’s range. That includes the GH booster or any fancy product that they offer.

How to select the best testosterone booster

As we just showed you, most of the Testosterone boosters in the market are grossly overpriced for what they offer.

Nugenix is not the only brand guilty of doing this mind you. We have come across brands that contain not even a single ingredient that can stimulate the release of more testosterone in your body. That’s why it’s crucial to know what factors to consider before you shop for test boosters. Here’s a brief checklist.

#1 – Understand what works

We mention this every time we try and dissect a health supplement. Spend as much time as you can researching about the ingredients that are proven to work. In this case, what are the ingredients that are clinically proven to increase testosterone? How do they work in the body? Do they produce side effects? What’s the bare minimum concentration of these ingredients for them to produce the intended benefit?

You’ll discover that there are in fact, only a handful of products that can stimulate the release of your natural testosterone. In Vitamins, there’s B1, B6, B12. In Minerals, there’s Zinc, Boron & Magnesium. In amino acids, there’s DAA. In herbs, there’s Ginseng, Fenugreek & KSM 66.

Sometimes, there can be newer ingredients that have been recently discovered. But it’s rare to come across something like this. Mostly, it’s one or more of the above mentioned ingredients.

#2 – Beware of Table Dressing

You need the active ingredients in sufficient concentrations for them to produce the desired result. As we just showed you, none of Nugenix’s products contain the ingredients in sufficient concentrations. In the supplement industry, this is called Table Dressing. They add fancy names on the label. To understand the actual concentration of the active ingredients, you need to read the fine print. Nobody really does that.

Why these three alternative products are better than Nugenix?

We have tried our best to help you understand why each product will be a better choice than Nugenix. But let us sum it up again.

  1. They contain better ingredients in stronger concentrations.
  2. They are well-rounded supplements, which means that you do not have to take chances with a formula that may or may not work. Irrespective of which one you choose, it will produce both muscle building and libido boosting effects.
  3. They are cheaper than Nugenix.
  4. They have tons of positive customer reviews.
  5. All of them are safe, legal and do not contain any banned ingredients.

Closing thoughts

That sums up our Nugenix reviews and our list of alternative products that you can try instead of flushing your hard earned money down the drain.
