A nude man was rescued from the tracks of a Metro subway stop at the Westlake / MacArthur Park station over the weekend, and it was caught on video.

The man's pants appear to come off as he's being pulled from the tracks. The person who posted the YouTube video alleges the guy had been pushed onto the tracks. (Warning: NSFW material):

It happened Saturday at 1:30 a.m., according to the poster.

The person who put up the video says the man was “thrown onto the train tracks” just as the train pulled up and stopped — and that riders tried to keep the doors open so it wouldn't continue to its next destination and run the guy over.

The poster called it a case of attempted murder and wants the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, which patrols Metro trains and buses, to investigate it as such.

Sgt. Eric Jaime of the sheriff's Transit Services Bureau told us an investigation was indeed underway. But he couldn't say if this was an attempted homicide case or something else.

“It's an active investigation,” he said. “I can't comment on it any further than that.”
