It looks as though there's about to be new life given to the space that was most recently Casey Lane's Parish. When the Parish closed in late September, Lane told us it was because he and his partners got a good offer on the building, but there was no information at that time about who the buyers were or what their plans for the building were. But a Christmas Eve help wanted ad posted on Craigslist gives us at least a few clues into what's to come, as well as a planned opening in February.
The ad, which gives the Parish building's 840 S. Spring Street address, says the new restaurant will focus on “Seasonal Classic American with a twist. All fresh and organic.” It goes on to say:
High volume, fast paced casual environment that turns into late night bar experience. Daytime operations will offer beer & wine, great sandwiches, great salads and small pastries. Evening hours start with a great HH [happy hour] that turns into a solid dinner service menu. Late night menu will be offered after dinner service where the venue will shift more towards a bar.
Early in December, Eater reported that the building was to become a restaurant called Spring + Main, and was owned by a company called Thirsty Monk, LLC. The Craigslist ad makes no mention of either of those names, and Squid Ink was unable to verify Eater's reporting, though the company bills itself as a “new restaurant group already looking for their next venue.”
We'll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
