EDITOR’S NOTE: Due to circumstances out of the organizers’ control the main event has been postponed until Oct. 23-25. The Thursday dance party still takes place on Thursday, October 15.

The fall installment of the Joshua Tree Music Festival is dubbed “From the Desert with Love,” as artists send their best wishes in musical form to the many people who would normally relish attending in person.

This virtual version features a number of musical sets pre-recorded the week before and streamed for our pleasure, including “Queen of the Hi-Desert” Jesika Von Rabbit, plus Thumpasaurus, Balkan Bump, Afrolicious, Vir McCoy Allstars, Year of the Crow, Heather Christie & Vir McCoy, and Subko. It all kicks off on Thursday with a dance party, as is the norm.

“We hope ‘JTMF Presents: From The Desert With Love’ is the first in a series of streaming events that we’re able to bring to our community,” said Marketing and Communications Director Cassie Morrow in a press release. “This event will be extra special as it is all filmed or streamed from the Joshua Tree Music Festival site. If we can’t bring people to the festival, we’re going to do our best to bring the festival to our people!”

Tune in from Thursday, October 15, then on Friday, October 23 – Sunday, October 25. Get all of the information at joshuatreemusicfestival.com
