A Hispanic male in his early 20's was killed in the early hours of June 8 in a possible attempted robbery gone bad.

According to preliminary police reports, the victim was staying at the Corona Motel at 11727 Saticoy Street in North Hollywood when he was hit over the head with a bottle in his motel room around 2:20 am. He was rushed to Providence Holy Cross where he died of his injuries 10 hours later, at 12:06 pm. The following day, the police arrested 22-year-old Juan Carlos Huezo. Although the suspect is an alleged member of the Vineland Boyz, the police do not believe the attack was gang-related.
