7th Annual Calabasas Malibu Wine & Food Festival

The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, Bouchon Bistro, Mr. Chow Malibu, Calabasas Vineyards, Cielo Malibu Estate Vineyards and Four Sisters Ranch are among the purveyors serving food, wine, beer and spirits at the festival. Tickets range from $50 to $300: $50 for the after party; $100 for general admission and $300 for VIP (both inclusive of food and drink plus a souvenir wine glass).

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Free Arts for Abused Children.

Summer Float Series Kickoff

Float is kicking off a 5-week summer movie series with Moonrise Kingdom and a specialty float this Saturday. Located at the back of a classic shopping arcade on Lake Avenue in Pasadena, the sandwich and float shop will set up a makeshift movie theater right outside of its doors. Popcorn and a specialty float will be available on the menu. Each week will feature a different specialty float. This Saturday's float will be Khaki Scouts Honor with rocky road ice cream, cream soda and giant toasted marshmallow. The weekly series will run from June 22 to August 17.

Pacific Coast Seafood Fest

David Lentz is throwing a family-style seafood feast on Sunday with a four-course prix-fixe menu at the Hungry Cat in Santa Monica Canyon. After a starter of Pacific coast ceviche or gazpacho, guests will be served family-style platters of seafood dishes like chorizo-stuffed squid, Ridgeback shrimp with chimichurri, and steamed Santa Barbara rock crabs. Dessert will be a seasonal stone fruit cobbler.
