If your write-in candidate for the 2008 presidential primary was “U.S. President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho,” and you can't eat a Double Western Bacon Famous Cheeseburger in public without wanting to utter the phrase, “Carl's Jr. — fuck you, I'm eating,” then Cinefamily is the place you need to be on Friday night. Mike Judge, your lord and savior, the man who brought the public Idiocracy, Beavis and Butt-head and Office Space, the Nostradamus of our time, has personally accumulated enough embarrassing and downright worrisome human moments, captured on film, to put together a mixtape of subtly edited found footage. Judge and Cinefamily are dubbing the tape “The Judgemental Sampler,” and Judge will be present for the screening, part of Cinefamily's 2013 Everything Is … Terrible Festival, an aptly named display of man's perplexing ability to be atrocious. The collection has been circulating among Judge's friends for years, and now the public gets a small taste of his extensive found-footage accumulation, yet another talent and tool Judge has in his arsenal for laughing, and crying, at the human condition. You might get thirsty, so pack some fortified Smart Water — “It's got electrolytes — that's what plants crave.” Cinefamily, 611 N. Fairfax Ave., Fairfax District; Fri., Aug. 16, 10 p.m.; $15.
