57-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Solo-Car Crash on North Mopac Expressway

AUSTIN, TX (February 29, 2024) – Early Tuesday night, Michelle Holloway was killed after crashing into St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. The incident occurred at approximately 5:48 p.m., at 12221 North Mopac Expressway on February 13th.

Per reports, 52-year-old Holloway lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the emergency room at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Emergency responders extracted Holloway from the severely damaged vehicle, but despite life-saving efforts, she eventually succumbed to her injuries.

The incident resulted in injuries to at least five people, including two children in the lobby. All injured individuals were transferred to another hospital for additional medical care.

Despite the event, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Peter DeYoung assures that St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is still operational and ready to accept patients.

Authorities are exploring the possibility of speed as a contributing factor, and an ongoing investigation is actively seeking further information.
