We live in a city where the spirit of community can be a bit hard to find, and for many, that drifting-alone feeling gets acute during the holiday season. One of the best ways we know to get that togetherness going is the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s annual Messiah sing-along, where sopranos, altos, tenors and basses of all levels are invited to join artistic director Grant Gershon, the Chorale, an orchestra and a quartet of professional soloists in belting out Handel’s beloved oratorio. Lifting voices en masse is a magical experience that can make you feel like you’re contributing to making our town a better place — and that you belong here. Amen!
