These missing-girl stories rarely involve a slightly older boyfriend, innocent, old-school eloping, or a Thelma & Louise scenario. No, the other person involved is always a dad's worst nightmare.

Take Danny Ramirez. He's 35. He has several tattoos. And police think he might be with missing 15-year-old Riverside County girl Mary Belinda Bartolo.

Riverside County sheriff's officials say her grandma reported that the girl called her Tuesday to say she was being held against her will at a hotel.

According to a sheriff's statement:

“During the call, the minor claimed that she was being held against her will at a hotel. The minor did not provide the name or location of the hotel and the call was placed from a blocked telephone number.”

Jarupa Valley deputies are investigating.

Anyone who has seen Bartolo or Ramirez was asked to call deputies at 951-776-1099.
