Even as City Hall is moving toward outlawing all medical marijuana dispensaries in this pot shop capital of America, the LAPD is doing its part all by its lonesome.

The department has, almost single-handed, closed down all the collectives in Chatsworth, according to City News Service.

The latest victim?

Herbal Medicine Care in the in the 10100 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, police report. Officers came door-busting at 3 p.m.

Cops say they found 50 pounds of marijuana, including 156 plants, at the store. The value of the weed was set at $600,000.

And, as a bonus, if you were a “patient” there, the police now know who you are: The store's medical records were seized.

Police say they've been investigating the place for some time, and they got a judge to sign a search warrant.

In an afternoon news conference yesterday, LAPD officials framed Monday's bust in the context of 37 other successful raids in the area since 2008.

Some of those included the seizure of assault weapons, cocaine, $2 million in cash, LSD and even anabolic steroids.

For the department's Devonshire Division, you could say, mission accomplished.

But medical marijuana advocates might be crying foul.
