The story of a man who fell from a Palladium balcony during last week's Blink 182 concert might have a new twist.

A man who says he witnessed the whole thing told us this week that the concert-goer appeared to leap off the balcony on purpose:

A witness who wants to be known only as Brad says he took his teenage daughter to the show Thursday night when, during an encore, they noticed a man move rapidly by them.

The duo was in the lower VIP balcony. Above them was one more VIP area, separated by a partition. Below, a 10-foot-plus drop.

Brad says the guy jumped over the partition to the lower VIP area and practically ran to the railing that divides the balcony from the main floor below. The man brushed by his daughter on his way down, he said:

The whole thing is, it totally looked intentional. He jumped that railing behind me. He came up and pushed himself up and over the railing below. He moved forward, full momentum, and used his hands to push himself up and over. He locked his arms straight and kind of cartwheeled over.

The fall was reported at 10:29 p.m. Thursday by an L.A. Fire Department inspector who happened to be at the venue, said the LAFD's Brian Humphrey.

The inspector radioed in what had happened and paramedics rushed to the scene, transporting the victim to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by 10:46 p.m., Humphrey said.

The guy's condition was unknown. According to reports, other witnesses said the man landed on his face, creating a bloody mess — but he was alive and moving.

We reached out to the coroner's office just in case he didn't make it. A captain there told us he could find no reports of death connected to the story.

“I saw everything unfolding,” our witness said. “It was terrible. He landed face-first.”
