Cops this week were on the hunt for a suspected pervert who they say tried to kidnap a teenage girl who kicked him and fought him off on Lincoln Boulevard in Venice's tony Milwood neighborhood.

The LAPD today said detectives believe the skinny white man might be the same suspect who allegedly tried to grab a girl in Torrance last month.

Here's the story as police see it:

On Nov. 2 about 10:30 p.m. a man in a white four-door drove up to a 13-year-old walking down Lincoln Boulevard near Milwood Avenue and offered a ride, the LAPD says.

The girl declined, but soon he got out and grabbed her, cops allege in a statement:

The victim heard a door slam and footsteps approaching, and then felt the suspect grab her arm and pull her towards his vehicle. The victim screamed and kicked the suspect, causing the suspect to release his hold on her. The victim ran away and the suspect re-entered his vehicle and drove south on Lincoln Boulevard.

Detectives believe that maybe the same guy pulled a similar crime Oct. 16, 2013 at Artesia and Crenshaw boulevards in Torrance.

A suspect in a silver or gray Honda four-door demanded that a 16-year-old girl walking in the area get inside his car, the LAPD says. “He even offered her money at one point,” the department's statement says.

The creep drove off when the girl ran into a friend nearby, cops say.

The suspect is described as a skinny, 5-foot, 10-inch white man in his late 30s with brown hair and eyes. If you think you know who it is, detectives would love to hear from you: 310-482-6373.
