Coachella's but a quickly fading memory, Spring's in full swing and Summer is on the horizon. The club scene is definitely warming up right along with the weather, my friends. This week, we've got a grand re-opening, a sexy DJ whose sounds are as hot as she is and a fusion of musical minds that's in-DUB-itably epic at Echo/Echoplex.

Without further ado, here are This Week's DJ & Dance Club Picks:

FRIDAY, APRIL 22

Hollywood's hipster kid hive, Club Bang! returns with yes, a bang, in a brand new home and on a brand new night, and given the location's success with other juvey jams (Wednesday's long-running Club Moscow and the newer Club Wannabe are both 18 and over), we're gonna call this one's poppin' potential extremely high. Two areas of dancing: pop, electro and indie dance by DJ Bipjeffington in the main room and Glam,Post Punk, Mod and Brit Pop by Jason Lavitt and Bractune in the tented outdoor area. Bang! will make use of the stage as well with live bands playing early. Opening night act: Rituals. At Boardners, 1652 N. Cherokee. Info here.

SATURDAY, APRIL 23

Anthems, celebrating the big and bold side of electronic dance music, has been pumping up Ecco for a few weeks now with a mix of old school rave royalty (Reza, Mark Lewis) and celebrated spinners. This week, one of the EDM's finest (and we mean that in more ways than one) DJ Rap takes the decks. Rap's got a drum n' bass-heavy thrust, but also weaves pop and multi-faceted house sounds. Whatever she delves into, be sure of this- the lady not only captures attention and she crushes the dance floor. 1640 N. Cahuenga Blvd. Info here.

The events space known as Studio Servitu reopens tonight with a provocative screening (“The New Erotic: Art Sex Revolution” ) and the opportunity to get nasty on the floor with DJ Ginger Fish (from Marilyn Manson). Live fetish performances and installations by Sex & Metal make this a seductive Saturday night experience. More info here.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27

A dub-ble decker, dub-ble dose of sounds, Dub Club meets Dublab, taking over the Echo and Echoplex this week, is not to be missed. Promising “a night of serious soundsystem culture past present and future,” the two music forces will present DJs and live acts doing bass, “riddim, and Jah” grooves all night long. Dub Club presents David Rodigan, Mighty Crown, Shinehead, Firgo Digital W/Kiddy Ranks, Echodelic Soundsystem DJs in the Echoplex, while Dublab presents psychedelic-infused sounds from Duppy Gun Productions, Danny Holloway, Frosty , Punky Reggae Party DJs, and more at the Echo. Live video mixing all night by Alex Pelly. Definitely a dub-do. Enter thru the Echoplex, 1154 Glendale Blvd in Echo Park. More info on Dublab.com.
