“Dance til you're dead” is the motto for Disco Death Rock, an all-dance night from Bar Sinister featuring DJ/VJ Ginger Fish (former Marilyn Manson/current Rob Zombie drummer) plus DJs Davey Rockit and Jarvis. Official afterparty for the Comikaze Expo; $5 Admission with convention wristband. Expect bizarre and creepy projections set to hard electro house & dubstep music. It's no coincidence that “dance” has the name “Dan” in it. Well, at least not when DJ Dan gets on the decks. See what we mean when the electronic music fave offers a special funky house set in Hollywood on Saturday. Also spinning are DJ Mes and Adam Auburn. At the King King, 6555 Hollywood Blvd.

Funky Sole is always a good place move your feet and this Saturday gets extra toe-tappin' as soulsters The Bo-Keys (featuring Memphis veterans of Stax/Volt and Hi Records) shake things up live along with legendary vocalist Percy Wiggins. Special early show will start at 9:15 p.m. and cost $5. After that, Sole will be free as usual with its funky fleet of wax wonders: Music Man Miles, Clifton aka DJ Soft Touch, and Chico. Sun., Nov. 6

You “asked them, asked them, asked them…” and now you shall receive: Part Time Punks' popular Smiths Tribute Night is back. Always a charming party that brings out Moz maniacs and '80s new wave lovers alike, this installment offers something extra special too. The event will be in the bigger Echoplex space and The Sweet and Tender Hooligans' Jose Maldanado will play an early live set of Smiths/Morrissey covers (10:30 p.m.). Bats Day In the Fun Park brings black-garbed industrial music heads to Disneyland in May, but now fans have another Anaheim affair to get gussied up all gothy for: Bats Day Holiday Market. Get those voodoo doll and bondage bracelet stocking stuffers early at this fiend-filled shopping fete and enjoy DJs from some of SoCal's most decadent dark dance clubs throughout the day, too: DJ Baron (Ruin), Dave Bats (Release the Bats), Dave Grave (Release the Bats), Franck H Bomb (Das Bunker), Kreig (Disko Nekro), Mr & Mrs DJ Liquid Sex Drive (Decompression Bar), DJ Noah K (Bats Day), Th@d (Klub Nuklear) and Xian ( Hope there's room for a little devilish dancing!
