Micheltorena Elementary School hosted a Halloween festival on Saturday in Silver Lake that went beyond the usual kiddie carving and costumes with rock sounds from DJ Keith Morris, DJ Lance Rock and yours truly (who also helped emcee). Live bands and performances rocked the playground including The Crazy Squeeze, Amy Clarke, Europa (belly dance), Jason Cruz & The Howl, The Woolly Bandits. The 88, Shooter Jennings and an all-star jam band, WITCH (featuring members of Foo Fighters, Sound City Players, Blind Melon and more).
