If you take issue with the quality (or lack thereof) of school lunches in L.A., there's a chance for your voice to be heard today. A public meeting will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the LAUSD Building in which community members may sign up to speak on the topic.

Later today, if everything goes as scheduled, the school board will vote on whether or not to approve the current $290 million/5-year school lunch services contract. Part of the purpose of this meeting is to ask the board to postpone the vote for an opportunity to have a larger dialogue with parents and the community at large. If you're interested in getting on the mic, register for your 3 minutes of fame upon arrival. FYI, parking in the Visconti lot will be validated.
