L.A. cops' end-of-the-summer, Labor Day DUI crackdown has been one epic operation. It started two weeks ago and will culminate with one almighty can of whoop-ass this weekend.
The good news is that they're telling you where they'll be and when they'll be there. The idea, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, is that knowing that authorities will be hunting down drunk drivers will dissuade you from getting behind the wheel after you've had one too many.
