Starting Monday, August 17, entry fees to California's state parks and beaches will rise. The State Parks' Web site has a page showing the new admissions, as well as the old ones that were last posted April 1. Below is a sampling of Los Angeles County parks and beaches operated by the state, showing the entry cost per car, with the old admission in parentheses.

Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve $8 ($5)

Leo Carrillo State Beach $12 ($10)

Los Encinos State Historical Park $8 ($2)

Malibu Creek State Park $12 ($10)

Pio Pico State Historical Park $3 ($2) for personal entry, not parking.

Topanga Canyon $10 ($8)

Will Rogers State Historial Park $12 ($8)
