After two years of hosting virtual galas, LA Family Housing (LAFH) will return in-person and present its 2022 Awards on Thursday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m., at the Pacific Design Center to raise awareness and needed funds for its work to end homelessness throughout Los Angeles County.

LA Family Housing’s 2022 Awards will feature special menus and drink offerings from restaurant partners Angelini Osteria, Big Sugar Bakeshop, Border Grill, Gasolina Cafe, Gogo’s Tacos, Good Clean Fun, Holy Basil, Pez Cantina, Shappy Pretzel Co, and Redbird, and will be hosted by YouTube star Jacques Slade. Entertainment for the evening includes performances by Ellie Goulding and Ben Platt.

Celebrity Host Committee supporters including Jack Black, Kristen Bell, Alyssa Milano,  Melissa Joan Hart, Ziggy Marley, Fran Drescher, Rebecca Gayheart, and Margaret Cho among others, have donated auction items like virtual meet-and-greets, in-person get-togethers, social media follows, and more, through Charitybuzz, for the public to bid on.

In 2021, LAFH connected about 12,000 people with housing resources and supportive services, including helping more than 2,400 people move into permanent housing. The organization is currently in the process of converting four motels into permanent homes, through California’s Project Homekey initiative.
