A 13-year-old boy has been accused of starting August's 2,000-acre Morris Fire, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Investigators claim the juvenile, who is not in custody, lit the blaze near Morris Dam, in the San Gabriel Mountains north of Azusa. That fire was the first of two blazes believed to have been deliberately set, but was soon overshadowed by the massive Station Fire near Mount Wilson, to the west. Authorities are asking the L.A. District Attorney's office to file charges against the unnamed youth.
