New year, new juicery. Introducing more pressed juice to Los Angeles, Clover opens on La Brea with $70-a-day cleanses. If you consume as much stinky cheese, schnitzel, bacon and butter as we do, that price won't seem too bad. And, for $350 you can basically get a whole new intestinal tract system. Not feeling that adventurous? The shop also offers kombucha on tap, Stumptown coffee, salads from Flore Vegan, sandwiches from chef Bruce Kalman of The Churchill and pastries and sweets — including vegan and gluten free, naturally. Each bottle of juice has 3 pounds of produce. So, drink up.

In more opening news, Pitfire Pizza debuts its seventh location in Manhattan Beach on Jan 30. To celebrate, Pitfire is partnering with Walk with Sally to donate 100% of the net proceeds from opening day to the cancer charity. Adding to Little Tokyo's growing list of Ramen retailers is Ikemen. You can expect plenty of katsuobushi — umami-loaded flakes of dried bonito shaved by machine, to order.

In closing news, after weathering more storms than David Petraeus (the 2010 Haitian earthquake, his own restaurant fire), George Laguerre is closing his downtown Haitian restaurant TiGeorges' Chicken on Jan. 31. Read on for a full January list of openings and closures:
