The investigation into the murder of Inland Empire teenager Norma Lopez led authorities late Tuesday to a home where a search warrant was served and a green SUV was seized, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise.

Crime scene technicians and detectives were at the Moreno Valley area home on Pegasus Way, only three blocks from the field where the girl's body was found in July, but no arrests were made, Sgt. Joe Borja of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department told the paper.

Lopez, 17, vanished July 15 after attending summer school. Her body was found the next week in a field used by students who attended the classes at Valley View High School.

At the time authorities said a green SUV might have been seen leaving the area July 15 about 10 a.m., the time the teen would have been heading home.

According to the Press-Enterprise, authorities checked up on sex offenders in the area and came up with no leads.

A $35,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case has been offered. Anyone who has any potential leads was asked to call 1-877-242-4345.
