For the past two years, writer-director Dane Whitlock has been creating musical mash-ups inspired by Little House on the Prairie and Judy Blume books, set to karaoke songs and the music of The Carpenters. This time, his muse is the parade of big boobs and erect nipples that starred in late-'90s slasher flicks Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, with The Blair Witch Project, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Rosemary's Baby thrown in for added horror. Set in the '80s, I Totally Know What You Did Last Donna Summer features actor Drew Droege of YouTube's “Chloë Sevigny” videos as a nosy reporter based on Courteney Cox's Gale Weathers in Scream, the only character we really, really wish Wes Craven had killed off. Droege will be singing such staple Summer hits as “She Works Hard for the Money,” “Hot Stuff” and “Dim All the Lights” alongside a cast of masked and machete-wielding killers, goofy sheriffs and slutty girls, who foolishly keep answering the phone. Don't they know that the call is coming from inside the house, and that the first rule of horror films is “You will not survive if you have sex”? Corn-syrup blood and margaritas will spill. Cavern Club Theater at Casita del Campo, 1920 Hyperion Ave., Silver Lake; Fri.-Sat., May 2-24, 9 p.m.; $20 in advance, $25 at the door. (323) 662-4255, cavernclubtheater.com.
