A Career Built on Experience and Grit
With over 20 years in the film industry, Veronika’s career began at a young age, inspired by her mother’s work in the business. Her early curiosity developed into her becoming a seasoned professional, as she worked her way up through various roles across different continents. This trajectory led Veronika to create her production firm, Film United. The company has thrived for ten years and is a significant player in the international production services industry.

Female Leadership in a Male-Dominated Industry
As a woman leading her production company in Prague, Veronika brings a distinct, inclusive perspective to her work. She has faced other challenges, including being from a small European country. However, Veronika overcame many of these obstacles with grit and determination. Achieving these goals herself led her to develop an engaging and inclusive staff.
Film United’s core team consists mainly of women, operating under a clear set of values: fairness, transparency, safety, and emotional resilience on and off set.
“Women still face hurdles in this industry,” Veronika reflects. “Our goal is to help shift that balance.”
She climbed the ranks in a traditionally biased industry and decided to build a company to combat the same bias.

Challenging the Industry Status Quo
“Film United has steadily built its reputation on international shoots in the Czech Republic, known for its personalized service, world-class standards, and local expertise.”
Veronika’s success lies in combining international sensibility with local execution, while maintaining a human-centered work culture.
Veronika strongly advocates for the Czech Republic as a production hub, one of her primary goals for her European production company. Her advocacy promotes the country as a democratic, safe country with diverse locations and urban versatility. The country attracts numerous producers and movie insiders with its 25% film incentives on production spend, and a key incentive for foreign producers is a deep pool of highly skilled crew and talent.
Veronika states, “The country offers not just financial value, but creative and logistical versatility throughincredible craftsmanship, experienced crews, fast and straightforward filming incentives.”
Her story underscores the importance of the Czech Republic, and through her indomitable spirit and production company, she aims to shine more light on the country.
