Now that the costume stress and sugar rush are history, take some time to check out LA Weekly's Halloween party coverage.
The party-hopping started on Wednesday when I hit up HM 157 for Church of Fashion's Halloween party, featuring performances from Featherbeard, Knomi, Romak and the Space Pirates and more. Check out the video of Knomi's lovely tribute to Klaus Nomi.
Thursday night, Dance Right at La Cita surprised costumed guests with a DJ set from Drop the Lime. Ed Banger artist So-Me and Acid Girls also played that evening. Check out the photos in Colin Young-Wolff's slideshow here.
Friday night, we took in the scene at Ruin's Grimm Fairytale Ball. Take a look at the whimsical costumes in Erin Broadley's slideshow and read my post on why goth clubs are the best place to spend Halloween.
Back in L.A., Hard took over The Shrine for two-nights of Haunted Mansion madness. Timothy Norris and Anna Webber were on hand to watch the crowd go wild as Deadmau5, Basement Jaxx and more took to the stage. Check out Webber's recap and all three LA Weekly photo galleries: “Night One,” “Night Two” and “Candy Ravers and Club Kids.”
Halloween day, Shannon Cottrell headed to Much Love Animal Rescue's sixth annual Bow Wow Ween event, where dogs, many of whom are in desperate need of homes, dressed as everything from Mr. T to Yoda.
Saturday night, West Hollywood was as outrageous as it always is on Halloween. Patrick Range McDonald was there with a camera in hand.
Brooklyn's Dirty Projectors spent Halloween in Echo Park, where the band played two sets at Echo Park Rec Cen. Read Erica Zora Wrightson's review.
