Because running one successful beer bar (Tony's Darts Away), working to open another (Mohawk Bend, delayed from its June 28th opening) and helping to organize a roving beer pop-up (ColLAboration) doesn't keep him busy enough, Tony Yanow is now launching his own brewery.

Come September, Golden Road Brewing in Atwater Village will begin producing beer, much of which will go to feed Yanow's various establishments.

Co-owner and president Meg Gill (formerly of Oskar Blues Brewery and Speakeasy Ales and Lagers) and brewmaster Jon Carpenter (formerly of Dogfish Head Brewery) will initially concentrate primarily on brewing hoppy California-style ales, and it will all be in cans, not bottles. Between Golden Road and Eagle Rock Brewery, Atwater Village may be on its way to becoming LA's gold road for craft breweries.
