With a new artist name and musical direction, Tilila, formerly known as Ghita, is bringing her Mediterranean sounds to pop music. After early viral success, she felt it was time to reinvent herself. Now, with singles like “Thank You,” set for a summer release, she aims to resonate with audiences worldwide as an ambassador of peace and freedom. Her upcoming projects mark an evolution from her early career, showcasing a fresh take on pop through her roots.

Early Musical Success
Tilila, previously recognized as Ghita, is a singer from Morocco whose diverse cultural heritage deeply shapes her distinctive musical style. Proficient in French, Spanish, English, and Arabic, Tilila’s music fuses elements from Mediterranean, Moroccan, and American traditions, offering a global appeal. With her recent rebranding, she is set to make a notable impact on the music scene, reflecting her authentic artistic self and her dedication to promoting peace, love, and freedom.

As Ghita, she first gained attention after a couple of her songs went viral on Spotify, opening the door to bigger opportunities. One pivotal moment was opening for Maroon 5 in front of 200,000 people in her hometown, confirming she was on the right path and fueling her determination.

Her collaboration with Ckay also helped put her on the map. While each show, big or small, felt like a confirmation she was heading in the right direction, after a couple of years of success, Tilila felt she finally discovered her true identity as an artist. This led to her decision to rebrand as Tilila from her former name Ghita, wanting to bring her roots into her music with a “Mediterranean sound” and pop songs resonating with everyone.

A New Chapter
Tilila’s rebrand represented a new chapter, musically and personally. “I wanted to choose an artist name that would separate my personal life from my artistic persona,” she said. Stepping down from the name Ghita meant embracing Tilila and the music that came with it. “I wanted to bring something new – music from my roots, Spanish and French influences, a hybrid, international feel.”

Scheduled for a June 14th release, “Thank You” introduces Tilila to the world and the start of a new style of music in her upcoming album and future releases. Through her rebrand, she aims to become an “ambassador of peace and freedom,” using her music to spread positivity. While the name and sound may be new, Tilila’s determination and passion for her craft remain. Early successes merely scratched the surface of her potential, with this new chapter signaling bigger things to come.

A Bold New Direction
As Tilila enters this next phase, she aims to push boundaries and challenge conventions. “I want my music to be authentic and meaningful,” she says, “but also fresh and exciting.” Her Mediterranean influences give her sound an edge that sets her apart from many pop artists today.

With “Thank You” just the beginning, Tilila plans to release more singles and an EP later this year that further showcase her unique blend of international pop and Mediterranean rhythms. Her ambitions extend beyond music too. “I hope to inspire young people through my journey,” she notes. “To show them that with hard work and passion, you can transform yourself and achieve your dreams.”

Tilila’s story is one of evolution – from her early successes under the name Ghita, to her growth as an artist under the name Tilila. But most of all, it’s a story of using your voice and platform for good. “I want my music and presence to spread joy,” she says. “If it can make just one person smile, then it’s done its job.”

With a bold new direction and a spirit of positivity, Tilila is ready to share her Mediterranean sounds and positive message with the world. The best, it seems, is yet to come.
