It's a sad day when the biggest event in town is the Free Health Clinic. But that's life in the time of the Great Recession.
The folks behind the annual check-up fest, CareNow/LA, are back again, so bring your party hats, glow sticks, sore throats and folding chairs.
It'll be swamped. Here are the details:
On Oct. 17 organizers will hand out wristbands on a first-come, first-served basis. This will happen at the L.A. Sports Arena, where gates will open at 7 a.m.
The clinic happens Oct. 20-23 at the Arena, but you have to have a wristband to play doctor (and get in).
There will be bouncers. Like a club. But without the velvet ropes.
Don't forget to say, 'Ahhh.' And good luck.
