A woman in Collier County in South Florida has been arrested after brutally beating her roommate in a dispute over… Thin Mints? Yes, that's right.

The most popular of all Girl Scout cookies, which we hoard in our freezer like Golem guarding his Precious, should promote honesty, responsibility and good citizenship. Instead, they turned roommate against roommate in a savage Thunderdome-like beatdown.

Angry 31-year-old Hersha Howard woke her sleeping roommate demanding to know what had happened to her Thin Mints. The roommate explained she had fed them to Howard's kids and offered to pay $10 for the box of cookies, according to MSNBC.

Instead of taking the money, Howard began beating her. When the roommate's husband pulled them apart, Howard reportedly threatened the other woman with a pair of scissors then hit her with a board as the roommate was fleeing down the stairs.

Howard knocked her to the ground and started hitting her. When the roommate ran outside the house, Howard grabbed a sign and continued hitting her.

Charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Howard now sits in a Florida jail, where she probably won't get delicious cookies for a long time.
