They may have abandoned the rock stages they introduced last year, but the organizers of the Electric Daisy Carnival offer more than enough rhythmic variations this year to make up for the lack of riffs. Leading the pack is Dutch DJ/producer Ferry Corsten, whose new record title, L.E.F. (as in Loud, Electronic and Ferocious), pretty much says it all. The guy makes hypnotizing, speaker-humping sounds that are as intense as they are infectious. (L.E.F. features vox by Simon Le Bon and Howard Jones.) Other groovesters sure to bloom: trancers Christopher Lawrence and Sandra Collins, breakbeat bashers Adam Freeland and Freq Nasty, and house hands Mark Farina and Doc Martin, along with dozens more on the decks, plus the always fun and freaky techno-performance art circus known as The Mutaytor. Wear day-glo. Sat., June 24, 4 p.m.-4 a.m.; all ages; at NOS Events Center, 689 S. E St., San Bernardino. See www.electricdaisycarnival.com for ticket info.
