We're only days from the election, and there's only one choice for president: El Vez. L.A.'s own international sensation, Mexican Elvis, is campaigning his little culo off with El Vez for Prez, with a stop this week at Largo. He emailed us from the campaign trail for this Q&A:

That's quite a snazzy fringed patriotic jumpsuit. What inspired it?

America!

You perform all over the world. Would you ever live in another country?

I love home and the White House is going to be great to live in, but if I retired, Spain wouldn't be bad.

If you could sing a duet with Mitt Romney, what would it be?

A remake of the Staple Singers hit “Respect Yourself,” but change it to “Deport Yourself.”

Tell us a little bit about the Largo show.

In the theatrical setting of the Largo, I will start the countdown to ectasy. Five days till voting day! I will sing and dance the issues of this election: immigration, the Second Amendment, religion, pro-choice, the U.S. workforce y mucho mas!

I believe in transparency in government — some of my costumes will reflect that. Both my opponents are trying to court the Hispanic vote. They have both forgotten December marks the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar. It's the end of the world.

El Vez for Prez at The Federal Bar Blvd., 5303 Lankershim Blvd.; Nov. 1, 8 p.m.; $12. 818-980-2555
