What's wrong with this picture? An Easter bunny riding down the freeway in motorcycle with a sidecar on Easter weekend? Perfectly normal scene for Southern California.

Except that the bunny wasn't wearing the proper equipment (allegedly):

CHP officer Adam Griffiths wasn't distracted by the holiday get-up as he patrolled near San Diego. The rider appeared to be lacking a helmet on his head.

The cop made the traffic stop on the westbound 8 freeway near Jackson Drive in La Mesa Saturday morning, radioing to colleagues that “I'm stopping the Easter Bunny,” the CHP's Brian Pennings told City News Service.

But Officer Griffiths did not lay a rotton egg. After getting on the biker's tail and pulling him over, he issued a verbal warning not only about a lack of helmet but about riding in that costume.

Pennings:

… His outfit was a visual impairment, he was not able to be aware of his surroundings, and therefore he threatened his own safety, and that of others

The rider, en route to a charity event, was allowed to hop along.
