Last night, a friend of mine in New York City sent a string of text messages from Miike Snow's show. “Live…the best I've seen in a long time,” he wrote of the band that features Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, aka Bloodshy & Avant. I went to YouTube and began looking up clips. Sometime in the process of doing that, I stumbled upon this remix from British dubstep star Caspa.

Miike Snow “Black & Blue” (Caspa Remix)

Miike Snow's October 4 show at The Echo is, according to the band's MySpace page, sold out. However, you can catch Caspa playing Saturday night at House of Blues.

With his label Dub Police, a string of club hits and a FabricLive compilation (created in conjunction with Rusko), Caspa has helped propel dubstep to underground sensation status. As a remixer, he's taken on a wide variety of artists, including Kid Sister, Depeche Mode and Deadmau5.

For Saturday night's gig, Caspa will be joined by MC Rod Azlan. The event is presented by LA dubstep crew Smog, who recently celebrated its third anniversary. Also playing are Matty G, 12th Planet, Pablo Hassan, DJ Evol and Kemst.
