Bakersfield Police Searching For Hit-and-Run Driver that Killed Donovan Daniels

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 1, 2021) – Early Saturday morning, 43-year-old Donovan Daniels died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The crash took place just after 12:35 a.m., on August 28, at the intersection of Harris Road and Country Meadows Drive.

According to the Bakersfield Police, Officers discovered Daniels on the side of the road with significant injuries. He was taken to a neighboring hospital, where he died a short time later.

Per the report, the motorist involved in the collision fled the scene eastward on Harris Road. The suspect vehicle was described by police as a late model, compact to mid-sized SUV, possibly red in color.

Furthermore, no additional information has been released about the crash.

Meanwhile, the crash is still under active investigation.
