2 Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Quivira Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 21, 2023) – Thursday, Donna Miroslava Munoz and another victim were killed in a motorcycle accident on West Mission Bay Drive.

The incident occurred near Quivira Avenue on May 18th.

Per reports, the driver of a Toyota Prius began to make a right turn onto Quivira Road while a motorcyclist was attempting to pass the vehicle. As a result, the Toyota crashed into the passenger side of a Honda CBR 600RR motorcycle.

First responders arrived and took 39-year-old Munoz to Scripps Mercy Hospital where she later died. In addition, crews pronounced the 34-year-old male rider dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics took another female passenger to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The 42-year-old male driver of the Prius and two juveniles inside suffered non-life threatening injuries.
