54-Year-Old Man Dies in Multi-Vehicle Collision on South Valle Verde Drive

HENDERSON, NV (September 5, 2022) – Wednesday night, David William Dunmire was killed in a 3-car crash on Clearwater Canyon Drive.

The incident happened around 8:20 p.m., near the intersection of South Valle Verde and Clearwater Canyon Drive on August 31st.

According to reports, a Honda Accord collided with a Ford pickup-truck, when the Honda driver attempted to pass the Ford in the No. 1 lane. As a result, the Ford was pushed into the southbound lanes of Valle Verde where it struck a Hyundai SUV.

The impact of the collision partially ejected Dunmire, the driver of the Ford, from his vehicle. Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after and pronounced 54-year-old Dunmire, of Las Vegas dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, two other unidentified occupants suffered injuries. Paramedics transported them to a local hospital for treatment.

Officials blocked all lanes on South Valle Verde Drive from Paseo Verde Drive to Horizon Ridge Parkway for four hours to allow officers to investigate the crash and perform cleanup duties.
