63-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Accident near Rainbow Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 19, 2023)David Jones died Sunday night in a multi-vehicle crash on Spring Valley Parkway and Rainbow Boulevard.

Emergency responders arrived at the location just prior to 7:20 p.m. on December 3rd, near Tropicana Avenue. The incident involved five vehicles, including a 2015 Chevrolet Impala operated by 63-year-old Jones and a 2014 Toyota Corolla driven by a 33-year-old man.

According to reports, Jones was traveling north at a high rate of speed, approaching Spring Valley Boulevard. Upon reaching Spring Valley Boulevard, Jones collided with four other vehicles. Paramedics transported Jones to UMC Trauma, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Simultaneously, the Toyota driver was also taken to UMC for the treatment of moderate injuries.

The other drivers involved cooperated at the scene and underwent evaluation by investigators. No signs of impairment were suspected as contributing to the collision, and the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is overseeing the ongoing investigation.
