The start of Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, March 12, was the occasion for a bicycle ride back in time — the Tweed Ride. Bikers dressed in period costumes and impeccably kept vintage bicycles cruised the streets of downtown L.A. for a day of good cheer and historical sightseeing. Historic stops along the way included Union Station and the iconic Bradbury Building.

C.I.C.L.E. (Cyclists Inciting Change Thru LIVE Exchange) organized the ride, which traveled about 8 miles through some of L.A.'s oldest neighborhoods, including Pico-Union and Alvarado Terrace. The latter neighborhood is rich in turn-of-the-century homes, such as the Gothic-styled Marley-Stone house and the Kinney-Everhardy house.
