Cruzados in the (Blind) House: Reformed rockers Cruzados will perform with Blind House (featuring members of Social Distortion, Cadillac Tramps, Adolescents and Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs, and playing their first show in two years), plus Tastee Nuggz and the Soviet Machines, at Alex’s Bar in Long Beach this weekend.

Back in 2021, we spoke to Cruzados man Tony Marsico about his ZZ Top love. “To this day, if I’m cruising along the 101 and ‘Tush’ comes on the radio, I can promise you, the windows are coming down, the volume is going up, and I’ll be singing along to it at the top of my lungs no matter how stupid I might look to other drivers on the highway. “I ain’t askin’ for much, I said, Lord, take me downtown, I’m just lookin’ for some tush.”

2021 saw Cruzados release their own new album, She’s Automatic, of which a press release read: “The album is a live, hot, no-nonsense collection of hard-hitting rockers on which Marsico is joined by the members of his ’80s L.A. contemporaries Little Caesar. The set’s glittering group of guest musicians includes a host of noted L.A. punk vets, including John Doe (X), Dave Alvin (the Blasters), David Hidalgo and Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), and Melanie Vannem (the Muffs, the Pandoras).”

See for yourself this weekend.

Cruzados in the (Blind) House: The event takes place at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 4 at Alex’s Bar.
