Despite the allegedly illegal prescription drugs authorities said were found in his home, actor Corey Haim died of natural causes, a coroner's report released Tuesday states.

He died as a result of pneumonia, respiratory problems and heart trouble, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. He died at the age of 38 on March 10 after his mother found him in “distress” at the Burbank Burbank-adjacent Los Angeles apartment the pair shared.

The coroner's office stated that he had suffered from “diffuse alveolar damage,” “community acquired pneumonia,” and “hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with coronary arteriosclerosis.”

Following his death, state Attorney General Jerry Brown announced that drugs found in his residence were allegedly tied to a San Diego-based prescription-pad ring.
