The 2011 edition of Eat This, Not That!, which stemmed from a popular feature in Men's Health magazine, has hit bookshelves in recent days, along with a new version of spinoff, Cook This, Not That! – the second cookbook in the series, this time featuring recipes under 350 calories.

For those not familiar with the “This/That” system, the book helps readers choose less nutritionally-defunct dishes at popular national chain restaurants, as well as find better options at the grocery store by pointing out which items are halfway health-conscious and which are (often) grotesquely fattening. For example, at Boston Market, Eat This: Beef Brisket, Green Beans and Dill Potatoes (480 calories, 27 grams of fat, 560 milligrams of sodium), Not That!: Rotisserie Chicken Salad Sandwich (1,040 calories, 60 grams of fat, 1,780 milligrams of sodium).

Similarly, in Cook This, Not That!, the objective is to prevent unintentional overindulgence, but in this case, readers are given recipes for low-calorie versions of their favorite restaurant dishes. Case in point – did you know California Pizza Kitchen's Singapore Shrimp Rolls are 633 calories, 2 grams of saturated fat and a whopping 3,693 milligrams of sodium? Cook This has a recipe for a similar dish that cuts those numbers to 270, 0 and 390 respectively.

Or take Charbroiled Steak Nachos from Baja Fresh, which will run you 2,120 calories, 118 grams of fat and 2,990 milligrams of sodium, while the Cook This rendition is just 360, 14 and 610 down the line.

Pretty shocking, right? So how about a little game? Guess which out of each pair is the more healthy option, and let us know in the Comments section how many you got right. (Answers on the next page.)
