Chris Brown flipped out backstage at Good Morning America after he had been asked about Rihanna. You know, the 2009 Grammy Awards-weekend assault in Hancock Park that appeared to leave her pummeled.

According to ABC's own account, the 22-year-old pop singer (R&B — really?) went so berserk that studio hands had to call security. Because he's sorry. And a new man.

In fact, the line of questioning was trained on …

… the latest news that a restraining order against him would be relaxed.

Brown:

It's not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I'm past that in my life. Today's the album day, so that's what I'm focused on.

He even did his GMA musical duty and performed. But once backstage he went rockstar on his dressing room.

ABC:

Brown stormed into his dressing room and started screaming and tearing the room apart.

Workers in the building called security. Before they arrived, insiders say a window in his dressing room was smashed, with the glass shattering and falling onto 43rd and Broadway.

Did they call the cops? Nope. Good thing. Brown's still on probation.

The crooner had the nerve to tweet afterward: “All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I'm so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!”

Real breezy.
