Carlos Sanchez was reported missing by his family after he didn't return home from his construction job May 8.

Detectives discovered the body of Sanchez in the front seat of his car Thursday morning in an alleyway in the 800 block of West 165th Street. He had puncture wounds to his chest.

“He didn't come home Saturday night from work,” said LAPD homicide supervisor Sal La Barbera. “It was unusual for him. He was found a few blocks from where he lived.”

Police have no suspects.

Anyone with information about the homicide should contact LAPD's Southeast Division detectives at (213) 972-7813.
